About Me

 

Hey friends! My name is Brianna Hernandez (but you can call me Bri) and I’m a yoga sculpt instructor based in San Diego, California. I developed Body Burn as a way to share my passion for fitness and health with my friends and community.

I grew up in Tracy, California where I trained in dance from ages 6–14. From there, I cheered on my high school’s competitive cheerleading team all four years. A creative at heart, I knew from a young age that I had a passion for beat-driven movement and found it so much more rewarding than other types of exercise.

While earning a degree in Business Management at San Diego State University, I became more interested in food and nutrition. I started to experiment more in the kitchen and gained a new appreciation for healthy, whole foods. Since then, I’ve curated a bunch of healthy (but not boring) recipes that help fuel my workouts and lifestyle.

After college, I became really bored with my workout routine and I could feel myself hitting a plateau. I knew I had to mix it up, so I began weightlifting, HIIT training, and yoga sculpt. Something about yoga sculpt reignited the fire I had when I was younger and the familiarity of moving to music made me feel right at home. I loved the energy in the studio, the community, and the challenge of combining high-intensity movements with weights.

In the fall of 2020, I virtually completed my 200 hour yoga teacher training and yoga sculpt certification from CorePower Yoga. While completing my training, I knew it would probably be a while before I’d get the opportunity to teach in a studio. But I also saw an opportunity to create a program that helps others ignite the fire within them. I created Body Burn with the purpose of helping people tap into their power and embracing communal energy, all set to some electric beats. I hope you walk away from this class feeling successful, energized, and fired up!
